V V Chapeaux follow in the footsteps of Gilbert and Sullivan
We went to the unique D'Oyle Carte Island for this fabulous photoshoot and paired our Summer 2024 hats and headdresses with dresses and jewellery from our favourite designers.
At the foot of Eyot House staircase, where once guests from the Savoy stood, we re-imagine them with our Ascot Swirl hat and a beautiful Claire Mischevani Aurelia dress.
Sitting on the sofa - a great vintage look with our Carmel Spring percher with a bow effect gingham dress from Suzannah London.
Our Iris's Pansies percher which is topped off with vintage pansies looks the perfect V V match for this chic floral dress from Claire Mischevani.
Annabel's mother worked for the extraordinary London milliner Madge Chard in the 1950's and our Rivoli Swing hats are a nod to her eccentricity.
For the most stylish of racecourses two great looks for swishing around the paddocks - our Deauville Jaunt hat is a winner with Suzannah's Remy ensemble
and the Goodwood Bow will turn heads with Mignonnette's flowing georgette silk wrap.
Our Victoire headband gives you a V V relaxed feel with this tailoired suit from Caroline Andrew
while there is a rakish nonchelance to Loan the Look's Safiyaa suit, topped off with our hand blocked Monet percher featuring a V V Chapeaux signature crin water lily.
V V Rouleaux bows create the V V Chapeaux Rascasse Jazz headdress which sets off the simple elagance of a this Lalage Beaumont Tweed jacket and Silk Skirt.
Eyot House on D'Oyly Carte Island was the home of Richard D'Oyly Carte, producer of Gilbert and Sullivan operas and builder of the Savoy Hotel. It was a house of wild parties and musical events - just our sort of place! There is a superb cafe, D'Oyly's, on the island where you can sip cocktails and hum arias, and in June there will be a series of concerts. A little bridge over the Thames transports you to a mystical adventure. To visit D'Oyly Carte Island click here.
